Susanne Jeger joined the Foundation Board in 2025.
She has held the position of Chairwoman of the Executive Board of the Basel-Stadt Pension Fund since 2012, and has many years of experience in managing and providing legal advice to pension funds. Previous career milestones include management positions at Swiss Life, Nationale Suisse, Coop Leben and PAX Versicherungen. Since 2023, she is also a member of the expert group for collective and joint institutions of the ‘Schweizer Personalvorsorge’ magazine.
Susanne Jeger is a fully qualified lawyer and notary. She holds a law degree from the University of Basel.
Fabian Berni has been a member of the Investment Committee since 2023.
Fabian Berni works as an investment specialist at the Pensionskasse Basel-Stadt. In this function he is responsible for investments in real estate and infrastructure with an asset value of over CHF 4 billion. Previously, he held various positions at CBRE Switzerland, first in Tenant Representation and Corporate Real Estate Management, then in Real Estate Valuation. He further developed the portfolio management and was responsible for mandates in real estate funds (with an investment value of around CHF 10 billion) as well as in Corporate Real Estate Management.
Fabian Berni holds a degree in Geography from the University of Zurich with a minor in Economics and a MAS in Real Estate Management (CUREM). In 2018 he obtained the RICS Diploma in “Commercial Property” and “Valuation”.
Back to overviewMarco Böhi joined the management in the role of Global Head of Portfolio Management in May 2021.
He transferred to AFIAA from PwC Switzerland where he had been working for a period of six years. At PwC, he had taken over the management of real estate valuation and analysis within the Real Estate Advisory department in 2014 and had managed the division as Director since 2019. Having substantially developed and expanded the division, he was ultimately in charge of the valuation and analysis of real estate portfolios worth approx. CHF 40 bn. Before PwC, he had a four year stint as project-managing valuation expert at Wüest Partner.Marco Böhi holds a degree in business administration from the University of Zurich as well as a Swiss Federal Real Estate Trustee Diploma and an MAS Real Estate UZH (CUREM). He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), the SVIT chamber of valuation experts and SIV, the Swiss association of real estate appraisers.
Charles Pridgeon has been a member of the Investment Committee since 2020.
After graduating from the University of Edinburgh with an Honours in Economics and Economic History, Charles Pridgeon worked in real estate investment banking in London and Paris for 11 years. He switched to the Fund Management side of real estate in 2001, becoming CEO of Aareal Asset Management in 2003. Overseeing the improvement of returns to investors through active asset management was his main focus, along with expanding Aareal’s fund offering to the Nordics, to Italy and into new asset classes such as logistics and residential. In 2010 he switched to the client side, becoming Chief Investment Officer of institutional investor Allianz Real Estate, one of the world’s largest investors in property. At Allianz he created the large-loan real estate debt business, and expanded indirect investments into logistics, Asia and US residential. He chaired the Investment Committee of Allianz Real Estate until 2015 when he left to form Dutch property company Whitestork BV which develops and invests in prime office and residential properties in major cities in Holland.
Jean-Bernard Georges joined the Foundation Board in 2019. He has held the position of CIO of Copré (La Collective de Prévoyance) since 2017.
Before this, he worked for eight years as an investment manager at a Family Office in Nyon. In addition, he worked for many years as an investment analyst and portfolio manager at Bank Sarasin & Cie in Zurich and Geneva, at the Arab Bank in Zurich and at UBS in Zurich.
Jean-Bernard Georges has around 25 years of experience in the fields of asset management and investment management. He holds a Swiss federal diploma in financial analysis AZEK/CFPI.
